Youth gain a valuable bonus point

Rumney RFC Youth gain a valuable bonus point win over a very strong Cardiff Met side Winning 20 points to 10, Rumney had most of the possession and territory for the first 20 mins and scored a well worked try with Morgan Williams going over after some great support play. Cardiff met bounced back with a penalty then a try to lead 10 to 7 at half time. Rumney game out second half strong and scored an early try By Prop Rhys Welbeloved powering his way over from 5 meter’s out. Cardiff met had a few more attacks down into the Rumney 22 but good defence and turn over ball from man of the match James Skene stopped them from scoring. Rumney then seen the game off with a try from there captain Lewis Hill who finished off what was good play and pressure from the whole team. 

 

Rumney coaches will be happy that they go into the semi-final of the Welsh cup on Saturday on the back of a strong performance with all members of the squad putting there hands up for selection.
